Your travel style is unique to you, so Tailored Travel offers several tour options to help you create a relaxing, worry-free vacation.

Packaged Tours are great for solo travelers or small groups who like to make new friends on their travels and experience a destination through preplanned, scheduled activities.

Tailored Packaged Tours are ideal for groups that like what is offered in a packaged itinerary but would like to make small changes to get the perfect fit for their group.

Customized Tours are perfect for those who want to be in complete control of their vacation. These trips are designed around your group’s interests, and all activities are approved by you.

Our Hosted Travel option is ideal for travelers who appreciate the benefits of having a dedicated travel professional with them every step of the way to manage the trip and take advantage of any spontaneous changes or opportunities that are presented. Hosted Travel can be added to any of the tours listed above.

Tailored Travel ‘with Us’ vacations are a great option for fun-loving solo and small group travelers who appreciate a group travel experience with unique, one-of-kind itineraries not available anywhere else.

May I bring my children or grandchildren with me?

The short answer is yes. We work with you to select the best tour and suppliers for you and your family and tailor it to meet your needs. Please note that the minimum age for our Tailored Travel ‘with Us’ vacations is 18, unless specified as family at the time of reservation.

How many people will be on my trip?

The number of people on your trip depends on the tour you choose.

The minimum and maximum number of passengers on packaged tours depends on the itinerary and supplier and is provided during tour selection.

The number of people on your Customized Tour is entirely up to you.

Am I allowed to add days or destinations before or after my trip?

Yes, both pre- and post-trip extensions can be added to your trip. This should be done prior to booking airfare to avoid any change fees.

Do I need travel insurance?

Tailored Travel strongly recommends that all our travelers purchase what is known as a travel protection plan for their trip. Travel protection plans do more than simply cover the cost of your trip—they cover things like medical expenses, emergency evacuation, replacement of lost or stolen items, bail bonds, and emergency cash advances. Plans can often be tailored to the needs of each individual traveler. In many cases, our trip suppliers require that all travelers purchase a travel protection plan when booking a trip.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, you need a valid passport to travel outside the United States. In addition, some countries require you to have a passport that is valid for at least six months after your RETURN date, regardless of the type of trip you are taking.

You may have heard that U.S. citizens traveling on a cruise ship do not always need a passport. The U.S. State Department, however, recommends that all cruise ship passengers carry a valid passport in case of an emergency, or in the event that their ship docks at an unplanned location. We advise all of our cruise ship customers to follow this recommendation.

Do I need a Visa?

Some countries do require U.S. Citizens to obtain a Visa for entry. It is your responsibility to ensure you have any necessary and appropriate Visas.  Please visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas.html for rules and information.  If you would like assistance, Tailored Travel can refer you to a third-party supplier specializing in Visa applications.

Will my cell phone work?

We can never guarantee your phone will work as desired. Contact your cell phone provider to get their advice on options for your particular service, including costs for calls, data and text, coverage you should expect and instructions to ensure you understand how to use your phone while traveling internationally.
